Located along the Lachine Canal, the Bassins du Havre project was launched in 2011. Drawing inspiration from the history of the site, the designers recreated the enclosures of the four basins excavated in the 1870s for commercial navigation. The project includes 505 residential units of various types and sizes, with a strong focus on families. The overall design features a friendly landscape architecture concept, with abundant green and recreational spaces. The Bassins du Havre project holds LEED NC certification, incorporating the following goals: sustainable site development, effective water management, energy and atmosphere, materials and resources, indoor environmental quality and design innovation.
