At Rachel Julien, with 30 years of expertise, we see it as our duty to contribute to Montreal's architectural heritage. Our approach evolves, but our core principles remain: exceptional locations, quality architecture and welcoming living spaces.

Our Beginnings

Dive into our beginnings, where the story of Rachel Julien merges with that of Denis Robitaille, our president and founder.

It was while accompanying his father, a milkman, on delivery rounds through the streets of Montreal that Denis discovered his deep love for the city and the diversity of its neighbourhoods, fuelling his passion for urban planning and architecture.

At 21, Denis renovated a small house, which he sold to finance the construction of his first duplex. Over the years, while biking around the city, he identified promising lots, primarily in Hochelaga-Maisonneuve and the Plateau-Mont-Royal, where he developed numerous multiplexes.

Thus, step by step, Denis founded Rachel Julien with a philosophy deeply rooted in a love for the city and the appreciation of its unique neighborhoods.

History

AWARDS

Rachel Julien has been awarded excellence prizes multiple times by professional associations.

Over the years, the company has participated in 11 calls for proposals from the City of Montreal and the Canada Lands Company, winning 7 of them. This positively reflects its ability to effectively understand urban issues. The developer has also made several regulatory modifications and has been involved in numerous negotiations with the City of Montreal. The company boasts projects involving the redevelopment of churches, convents, schools and industrial buildings, as well as LEED- and Novoclimat-certified projects and the realization of community housing initiatives.
